Verse For The New Year

Happy New Year

As a new year opens before us, all of us need to hold onto something, someone dependable, true, sufficient for every circumstance and situation that we face. Can anything meet such demands? Can anyone be enough for us as we face a year of unknowns? Yes, and yes again:

1 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 13

You know you cannot trust yourself – sadly, we all fail, you are not faithful.
You know you cannot trust others – despite every good intention and desire, no one is faithful.
And yet:

1 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 13

Take this verse with both hands into this new year 2022. God is dependable, God is true, God is sufficient for every circumstance and situation that we face. Trust Him, talk to Him in prayer, let Him talk to you through the Bible, His word to us.

Since we started this website in March 2020, to bring messages of Hope, we are entering our 92nd week and still “God is faithful”. Many of you readers, and sometimes each month you can number 4,000 – 5,000, you come from near: from England, the UK, Europe and yes “God is faithful”.
Many more come from afar: from Russia, the Central Asian States, China and beyond and yes “God is faithful”.

God’s faithfulness does not depend on His proximity or nearness to us, it depends on God’s unfailing and unchanging character. Praise God He does not change.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 9.

“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not, as Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Happy New Year! Step out into it with confidence in a faithful God.
