As we come to the end of the week when the lockdown restrictions have been eased and, in some cases lifted, many are critical that the Government should have done less – or more. For good reason Christians are always encouraged to pray for those who make such decisions ‘Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time’ 1 Timothy chapter 2 verses 1-6.
Not only do our leaders need our prayers but God our Saviour desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Did you know that?
